Dieting and Change

Dieting is perhaps the change most of us try to make through out our life. Aristotle has this funny observation in the Ethics that Temperance is the easiest virtue to grow in because we have an opportunity to practice it three times a day! I have found for me that small changes, tracked and rewarded over time is the only way I can sustain change. Rather than switching to a whole new diet, I need to cut out one food at a time, or adopt a new recipe repeated several times before it becomes permanent. Even cutting out alcohol was done in increments, from every day, to every other day, to just the weekend.

What works for you? How have you effected change in your life?
